The meeting of the Board of Directors of District 9 was
called to order by President, Bette Cohn at
APPROVAL OF MINUTES FROM
Minutes were approved as presented.
A copy of a Balance Sheet dated
The current Balance Sheet reflects the incorporation of the Sunshine Bridge News account into the District 9 financials.
A motion was made to put all of the excess
funds from the 2004 NABC
As of Friday night, the tournament table count was 1279.5, up 26% over the past year’s attendance. The hotel has been exceptional to work with.
The Annual Goodwill Party to honor the Mini-McKenney, Rookie
of the Year, and Ace of Clubs winners for 2004 will be held at the PGA National
Resort in
All winners from each of the five units in previous years are invited to attend.
SUNSHINE BRIDGE NEWS: Muriel Altus
Shirley Seals has worked with the publisher and the Bulk Mail office of the U. S. Postal Service to improve the delivery. Each mailing label must contain the nine digit postal code in order to be shipped promptly. Five digit addresses must be sorted by hand which causes delays in delivery.
The SBN Committee is working with the Editor to have the material delivered to the Printer in a timelier manner.
A Motion was made to approve a one time
cost of up to $100 to have the Web Master put each issue of the
OLD BUSINESS:
Jayne Thomas reported that the Grand National Teams and
North American Pairs finals will be held at the
NEW BUSINESS:
Bette Cohn announced that Larry Rich has been hired as the new Web Master for District 9. .
Motion made to pay Larry a one time fee of $100 to set up a program whereby clubs can post their daily club results on the District website.
Motion carried.
Motion made to form a committee and adopt a dress code for District 9 tournaments. Motion carried.
The Next Board Meeting will be held at the July 4th Regional Tournament.
