Greetings from the ACBL as we move into the second half of 2003. This letter contains important news about ACBL programs of interest to your units and clubs.... Please pass the information along as appropriate. Also note that your quarterly unit reimbursement check will be mailed to your Unit Treasurer later this month. You will be pleased to learn that the popular Club Directors Update Course will be offered to Regional Tournaments free of charge in 2004. The course was developed by Associate National Tournament Director Guillermo Poplawsky to bring experienced club directors up to date on recent changes and includes an informative and entertaining PowerPoint presentation. The content includes current ACBL procedures and policies, the Laws of Duplicate Contract Bridge, and the effective use of ACBLscore. Those who complete the course receive a certificate and are profiled as having Club Director Update Continuing Education. For more information about having a Club Directors Update Course at your Regionals, please contact Joyce Stone at joyce.stone@acbl.org. The ACBL also offers the free Unit Growth Seminar, where an ACBL representative works with unit and club officials on ideas for growth and increased participation at the local level. Intermediate Coordinators (IN) or Education Liaisons but no longer hold
these positions. It is important for your own promotional efforts that we
