FOR A LIMITED TIMED ONLY ACBL OFFERS EXPANDED SUBSIDIES THROUGH ITS COOPERATIVE ADVERTISING PROGRAM ACBL is pleased to announce that for a limited time only, Club Managers and Teachers can receive twice the usual maximum subsidy of 50% of expenditures up to a maximum of $250 (U.S.) for advertising and promoting bridge through the Cooperative Advertising Program (CAP). How do you qualify to receive a subsidy up to $500 (U.S.) – 50% of your expenses – up to a maximum expenditure of $1,000? IT IS VERY EASY. All you have to do is to include "Participate in Bridge Week in North America, January 6 – 12, 2003" in your newspaper ads, flyers, letters, newsletters – any direct mail pieces you distribute between now and December 31, 2002. Request for subsidies must be submitted by January 15, 2003. It’s that simple! (Details of this promotion can be found on the ACBL website.) THE MAIN THING IS: INCLUDE THE PARTICIPATE IN BRIDGE WEEK IN NORTH AMERICA IN YOUR ADVERTISING MATERIALS. As you are probably aware, ACBL’s Cooperative Advertising Program was created several years ago to encourage clubs, bridge teachers and others to advertise lesson opportunities, bridge games and tournaments available to players – anything that promotes the game of bridge. The ACBL’s CAP program works like this: ACBL will subsidize 50% of the cost of the advertising program up to a maximum subsidy of $250 per program. You are not limited to one subsidy per year – you may submit requests for multiple programs while funds remain available. Eligible media are radio, television (including cable), newspapers (daily and weekly), magazines, direct mail, outdoor, Yellow Pages, flyers, handbills, and statement stuffers. If you are considering a program not listed here, please contact ACBL. You may be eligible for a subsidy through the CAP. To learn more about this exciting offer – AND the special limited time "expanded" subsidy, contact Jean Patterson, Director of Communications, at ACBL headquarters. She will be happy to discuss details and send you an information kit.
