Michelle Golden, manager of the In-Between Duplicate Bridge Club in
Sarasota FL, has become ACBL’s first Star Recruiter — earning a $500 bonus
check, a certificate suitable for framing and a Star Recruiter pin. The Membership Recruitment Program was begun in January 2002 and rewards club managers, ACBL accredited teachers and Easybridge! presenters who consistently recruit large numbers of new members. For every 100 members, club managers and ACBL accredited teachers/officials will receive a $500 bonus check. Golden, a Silver Life Master who doesn’t have much time to play these days, credits most of her recruitment success to the Easybridge! program. "Basically, it’s not a hard sell," she said. "Easybridge! eases the transition to duplicate and joining the ACBL solidifies the bond." Golden received her certificate and pin at the Unit 102 awards dinner June 7. Carol Robertson, manager of ACBL’s club membership department, said, "Michelle has been an outstanding recruiter for many years and we have happy she has earned this recognition. "We look forward to recognizing many more Star Recruiters in the future." |
