DISTRICT 9 UPDATE – JULY/AUGUST 2007

 

MY THANKS TO YOU ALL.

 

I cannot begin to thank so many of you for your good wishes as the election for ACBL President takes place at the July National Board meeting in Nashville. 

 

So many of you have said…”How can we vote?”  “What can we do to help your campaign?”  Oh, how I wish my District members could vote.  However, the other 24 board members are the ones who make the decision.  The National Board members have elected me to two consecutive terms as Treasurer of the ACBL Charity Foundation and to a three year term as the representative for the Eastern Zone on the Executive Committee.  In the past I have served two years as the Chair of the Junior Committee, and this year, I am serving as Chair of the Marketing Committee.

 

My goal as a member of the National Board is to make bridge a more popular game and to encourage newcomers to love the game as I do.  I am very protective of the local clubs, club managers, and teachers…since these are the life blood of our organization.

 

No matter how the election turns out, I am dedicated to serve this District and will continue to represent Florida with pride and devotion on the National Board.

 

I already feel like a winner because of all the kind words and generous support that I have received from you.
