25 Million Potential Members
We're often asked how many bridge players there are, so we decided to find out. The ACBL commissioned a study this year and learned 25.1 million Americans know how to play. 18.7 million currently play and of these, 2.4 million play at least once a week. We've found our target population—let's go get 'em! To help you reach non-member players, be sure to take advantage of the Cooperative Advertising Program. They'd Rather not Eat Cake
If you were trapped on a desert island and had to choose fellow survivors,
who would you choose. Only 15.1% of bridge players in our nationwide survey
chose “Betty Crocker,” while 42.3 percent chose “Three other people for
bridge.” These and many other interesting survey results will be posted
on the web Bridge Is Cool!
“In the past few years, the game—along with other retro favorites such as bowling shirts, TV dinners and kitten heels—has made a comeback among a younger, hipper crowd. It's even become a craze in London, winning fans including Sting and the guys from Radiohead, and making bridge clubs the place to be.” - Washington Post, Feb. 29, 2004 We've added this and other quotes to help with your marketing efforts. Take special note of the 10 and 3 schedule for all games at the Atlanta NABC this summer and the changes in times and dates for our special programs.
