As many of you know, I lost my good friend and bridge partner, Chuck Whidden, a few months ago.  Of all the things written about "The Chuckster"----no one mentioned how much he loved to win.  He was lavish in his praise but quick to point out flaws in the bidding and play of the hand....and was as critical of himself as his partner.  I loved his competitive spirit and his willingness to play with partners who were not his equal at the table.  He truly loved the game as many of us do.

I want to introduce you all to our new Web Master, Chet Skapczynski from Ocala.   (I have actually learned to spell his last name.)  Chet came to my rescue and within two days had the District 9 website up and running.  Please take time to go to this site.  On there you will find:
